Garry Golightly, a local Seattle children's icon also known as "The Bubble Man" will begin teaching an
eleven week introductory workshop for "A Course In Miracles" in Ballard beginning March 9,2011
Wednesdays from 7:PM-9:PM. Garry has been involved with the "Course" for the past 33 years. He has taken the "Course"
with him all over the world and has facilitatd workshops from Austin, Texas where he first learned about the
"Course" to Gainesville, Florida, to new York City where an article about Garry and the "Course" appeared
in the national section of the New York Times. Garry Golightly's life has been like one miracle after another. Educated at the University of Massachusetts as an Art Teacher, Garry had no idea his life would evolve into a living example of what the "A Course In Miracles" is really about! His enthusiasm regarding the "Course" is prevalent not only in his teaching style but his lifestyle. He has enthusiastically brought the "Lessons" of the "Course" into his everyday activities including his performances as "The Bubble Man". He is also an artist sharing the spirit of his creativity through music, graphics, poetry, and as a designer of toys for children of all ages. He also works as a therapist using 'breathing' as a primary tool towards enlightenment. With the "Principles of Miracles"as a reference he guides individules and groups towards their own form of 'enlightenment'. The "Course In Miracles" itself is a set of books combining psychology with spirituality with the sole purpose of lighting up the inward path we all are on. There are 365 "lessons" in a "Workbook", a daily quote to facilitate our "journey". A "Text" which helps us decipher the world that seems to be all around us with a new interpretation of just what it is we are doing here. And a "Teacher's Manual" which teaches that we are all teachers for each other. The "Course" says, "We can't change the world, but we can change our mind about the world." The "Course" will help you change your mind and the joy and satisfaction and of course the Love you will experience will be so heightened you will have no choice but to start to give it away.
